Responsibilities
- Build meaningful and long-term customer relationships using “relationship selling” techniques.
- Conduct interior design consultations and makeovers to maximize selling opportunities.
- Demonstrate comprehensive knowledge of furniture construction and design trends.
- Create, present, and sell product and design solutions tailored to customer needs.
- Engage customers to determine their tastes, lifestyle, and investment range.
- Drive to customers’ residences and businesses for in-person makeovers.
- Conduct virtual appointments and live chats.
- Translate customer wants into design choices through active listening.

Pay
This role features a generous commission-based compensation plan, with income potential limited only by effort. Experienced Bassett Design Consultants average $70,000–$105,000 per year, with top performers earning up to $135,000 annually. Additional bonus opportunities are available.
