Design Automation Engineer
About the role
We are currently seeking a Design Automation Engineer to join our fast-paced, diverse, and safety-centric team. In this role, you will be responsible for using Driveworks to automate the configurations of all Hiwin products and in all Hiwin business systems.
Responsibilities
- Working with the rest of the Hiwin Engineering team and with external consultants to implement the plan for automating design configurations for all Hiwin products
- Developing product configurators using Driveworks and following the standard user interface
- Testing, debugging, and troubleshooting all product configurations before release
- Collaborating with other departments and external consultants on integration of the configurator with other business systems, i.e. ERP, CRM, and e-commerce
- Creating documentation of programming guides, data transfer maps for use of other developers and Hiwin team members
- Keeping up to date and recommending software updates, enhancements, and features
Requirements
- Have a Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering
- A strong knowledge of Solidworks for Mechanical Engineering and design
- Experience and understanding of product configurators
- A strong desire for organization, process optimization, and efficiency
- Experience with creating models with tight tolerances
- Experience with SQL databases, Excel macro programming, and coding in Python, C#, or VB
- A self-starter with ability to multitask, meet deadlines, and properly prioritize activities
- Experience solving complex problems and sharing knowledge

The compensation range that is listed is the lowest to highest salary we in good faith believe we would pay for this role at the time of this posting. We may ultimately pay more or less than the posted range, and the range may be modified in the future.
