Design and Technology Technician

About the role

We are now recruiting for a Design and Technology Technician to provide efficient technical service to the Food, Art, Design and Technology faculty in the delivery of the national curriculum within the Academy's classrooms.

Responsibilities

• Provide efficient technical service to the Food, Art, Design and Technology faculty in the Academy's classrooms.
• Support the delivery of the national curriculum through technical expertise.

Requirements

• Band 6 Scale point 29 - 32 Actual salary: £20,837 - £22,094 per annum (FTE: £24,654 - £26,141)
• 37 hours per week - Permanent / Term Time Only
• Require to start 1st September 2026

Qualifications

• Experience in providing technical support in a school environment.
• Knowledge of design and technology principles and practices.
• Ability to maintain and operate a range of technical equipment.

Skills

• Excellent communication skills.
• Problem-solving abilities.
• Attention to detail.
