Design and Sales Consultant

Do you have a flair for design and a passion for people? Join our team to help match the perfect flooring to local customers in our newly renovated, beautiful showroom. Your goal will be to provide flooring advice that makes the customers' buying decision easier and more enjoyable.

Responsibilities

• Greet customers in the showroom and determine their wants and needs
• Project manage jobs from the time the customer enters the showroom until installation and beyond
• Build client relationships and execute targeted sales strategies
• Write sales orders, receive payment, or obtain credit authorization using our software system
• Follow up in a timely and professional manner with all customers on requests and/or concerns
• Maintain the showroom by keeping samples and displays neat, current, and clean

Requirements

• Willing to undergo product and sales training to become a certified flooring and design expert
• Well-organized and able to provide outstanding customer service
• Able to work efficiently with teammates in all departments and locations
• Passion for people
• Access to reliable transportation for work and customer home visits (as necessary)
• Open and flexible work availability during showroom hours
• Strong knowledge of Microsoft Office programs and willingness to learn our operating systems
• Retail sales or customer service experience strongly preferred

Nice to Haves

• Experience in flooring or home design (not required—we provide on-site training with a comprehensive program that prepares you for certification in 6 weeks or less)
