Dermatopathologist (open rank)

About the role

The Department of Pathology and Laboratory Medicine at the University of Miami Health System is seeking faculty members (open rank) with expertise in Dermatopathology and an additional subspecialty in Surgical Pathology or Research.

Responsibilities

• Provide expert diagnostic interpretation in Dermatopathology and related subspecialty areas
• Serve as an independent diagnostic authority impacting patient care and treatment planning
• Participate in multidisciplinary tumor boards and disease-site conferences
• Engage in departmental quality assurance activities and committee service
• Support the academic mission through clinical, translational, or research scholarship

Qualifications

• M.D./D.O Degree required
• Board Certified in Anatomic Pathology (AP) and Dermatopathology
• Eligible for medical licensure in the State of Florida
• Fellowship training in Dermatopathology (required)
• Additional subspecialty expertise in Surgical Pathology
• Research with an established portfolio or proven record, is welcome
