Essential Functions And Basic Duties
- Serves as a point of contact for patients and providers.
- Maintains accurate No Show Log and follows No Show Procedures.
- Works with the Dermatology Scheduling Coordinator to review and correct provider schedules daily.
- Ensures patient information is accurate and up to date in EMR.
- Identifies and resolves issues, escalating when necessary.
- Affords assistance to the Patient Access Manager.
- Acts as a liaison between various departments.
- Functions in a high-volume, multiple-task environment.
- Meets established productivity and quality guidelines.
- Attends relevant workshops and staff meetings.
- Edits patients on financial assistance options and collects copays as needed.
- Communicates professionally with patients, staff, and vendors.
- Adheres to MRH attire and dress code.
- Completes required education, training, and certifications.
- Maintains strict patient confidentiality.
- Reports to work punctually and completes assigned duties within established timeframes.
- Contributes to departmental and organization-wide performance improvement initiatives.
- Complies with regulatory requirements and departmental, hospital, state, and federal standards and policies.
- Fulfills infection control, safety, and risk management procedures.
Position-Specific Performance Expectations, Duties, and Responsibilities
- Maintains accurate No Show Log and follows No Show Procedures.
- Greets patients on the phone and in person in a friendly and courteous manner.
- Works with the Dermatology Scheduling Coordinator to review and correct provider schedules daily.
- Ensures patient information is accurate and up-to-date in all applicable Electronic Medical Records (EMR).
- Identifies issues that require additional investigation and evaluation, validates discrepancies, and ensures appropriate follow-up.
- Resolves issues independently, and when appropriate, escalates to a supervisor.
- Affords assistance to the Patient Access Manager to ensure all patient access workflows, policies, and procedures are being followed.
- Acts as a liaison between patient, families, physicians, and the care team.
- Participates in interdepartmental process improvements and process evaluation efforts.
- Establishes and maintains a professional relationship with all staff to resolve problems, working as a team.
- Functions in a high-volume, multiple-task environment while producing quality work.
- Prioritizes workload and completes assignments within allotted time.
- Absorbs and solves problems independently.
- Maintains a consistent level of productivity and manages time and responsibilities effectively.
- Attends all applicable workshops and staff meetings (remote attendance accepted).

Qualifications
- Must be at least 18 years of age (21 for positions requiring driving, with a valid driver’s license).
- Must be legally authorized to work in the United States.
- Must successfully pass a background check.
- Must successfully pass a pre-employment drug screen and breath alcohol test (if applicable).
- Must complete an Employee Health meeting prior to starting employment.
- Required: Associate’s or Bachelor’s degree in Healthcare, Administration, Business, or related field.
- Preferred: Current Basic Life Support (BLS) certification (or be obtained within ninety (90) days of hire).
- Experience Required: One (1) year experience directly related to hospital medical staff or managed care credentialling.
- Experience Preferred: Medical terminology experience.
