About the role
New England Dermatology Associates is seeking a full-time Dermatology Nurse Practitioner or Physician Assistant to join their well-established and patient-focused dermatology practice in Vernon, Connecticut.
Job Description
- Provide comprehensive dermatology care, including evaluation, diagnosis, and treatment of medical, surgical, and general dermatologic conditions.
- Independently manage a busy dermatology schedule with the ability to see up to 30 patients per day as volume builds.
- Perform skin cancer screenings, biopsies, excisions, cryotherapy, and other dermatologic procedures within scope of practice and experience.
- Develop individualized treatment plans and educate patients on prevention, treatment options, and ongoing skin health.
- Build and maintain patient volume through high-quality care, efficient clinic flow, and patient-centered service.
- Collaborate with physicians, fellow providers, clinical staff, and administrative team members to ensure an excellent patient experience.
- Maintain accurate, timely, and thorough documentation in accordance with practice and compliance standards.
Qualifications
- Licensed Nurse Practitioner or Physician Assistant with eligibility for practice in the state of Connecticut.
- Dermatology experience is required; candidates must be comfortable managing dermatology patients in a fast-paced outpatient setting.
- Ability to hit the ground running in a busy, productive practice and gradually build a strong patient schedule.
- Experience performing dermatology procedures such as skin exams, biopsies, cryotherapy, excisions, and related in-office treatments preferred.
- Strong clinical judgment, professionalism, efficiency, and commitment to patient-centered care.
- Interest in joining an established practice with a collaborative team environment and strong patient demand.
