Job Summary
Georgia Power is committed to delivering clean, safe, reliable, and affordable energy to customers across the state. The DER Project Management Analyst will play a pivotal role in supporting Georgia Power’s DER efforts, ensuring safe interconnection of residential solar and storage systems.
Major Job Responsibilities
- Coordinate and schedule a high volume of BTM witness testing
- Coordinate and oversee a team of contractors who will perform witness testing across the state
- Oversee the allocation and utilization of resources to meet customer timelines
- Maintain clear communication with internal and external stakeholders, including customers, solar installers, and contractors
- Support workflow enhancements and operational efficiencies, leverage data and automation to enhance efforts and insights to drive scalable processes and systems
- Onboard and train new contractors as the need arises
- Make technical decisions on testing outcomes and update testing procedures
JOB REQUIREMENTS
- Bachelor’s degree required (engineering, business, technology, management systems, operations, or related field)
- Experience in project management, distributed generation, power delivery, or data management preferred
- Ability to interpret technical procedures and testing results to ensure accurate reporting and to support decision-making preferred
- Strong organizational and analytical skills to manage complex scheduling, resource coordination, and procedural compliance
- Ability to deliver data-driven decisions and summarize efforts through key performance metrics
- Ability to generate field data-based reports with actionable insights to address gaps
- Excellent listening, written and verbal communication skills and strong capabilities to interface with and solve problems for internal and external stakeholders and customers
- Ability and willingness to prioritize safety in operations for themselves and contractors
