About the role
The Deputy Manager A Läderach (Assistant) Store Manager position at Läderach involves supervising employees, providing excellent customer service, leading training, and helping the Store Manager and Regional Manager meet store quotas.
Responsibilities
- Lead outstanding in-store customer experience
- Motivate staff to provide top-notch customer care
- Help oversee product sales and register duties, including shop and shelf care, gift packaging, and order fulfillment
- Ensure the accuracy of Läderach product merchandising and execute proper food safety protocols
- Schedule effective staff shifts and coordinate store meetings/events
- Manage the store in the absence of the Store Manager
- Handle other role-related responsibilities as assigned by the Store Manager
Requirements
- At least one year of experience in a retail space with increasing levels of responsibility
- Strong leadership, staff management, and customer service skills
- Reliable with a flexible schedule, including availability to work extended hours, weekends, and holiday hours based on store needs
- Proficient in computer skills such as email use, Microsoft 365, data entry, spreadsheets, and POS
- Quality-minded with keen attention to detail
- Proactive and efficient
- Passionate about chocolate
Physical Requirements
- May need physical stamina to remain active and stand for long hours, often walking or standing in a fast-paced environment
- Requires the ability to move quickly between tasks, assist multiple customers at once, or handle unexpected changes (like restocking or re-organizing displays)
- Requires physical agility and the ability to stay organized
- May involve bending, squatting, or reaching up high to organize or stock products
- May require bending down to clean floors or wiping down displays
- May involve frequent bending or stretching
- Requires the ability to lift 15-40 pounds
