About the role
Chaffee County seeks a Deputy Sheriff for the Co-Response Program. This position plays a vital role in connecting individuals in crisis with the help they need while keeping our community safe. In this position, you'll partner with Co-Response Clinicians to respond to behavioral health, substance use, homelessness, and other crisis-related calls. We're looking for a dedicated peace officer who is committed to serving the community with professionalism, compassion, and sound judgment.
Requirements
- Must be at least 21 years of age
- High school diploma or GED equivalent
- POST certified
- Advanced training in investigations, evidence collection, and narcotics
- CPR and First Aid certification
Pay
This is a full-time, non-exempt, hourly position with a wage range of $35.67 to $37.00, DOE.
