About the role
Join the Kootenai County Prosecutor's Office as a Deputy Prosecuting Attorney and be a key player in the fight for justice! Handle significant cases, from misdemeanors to felonies, and work on trial preparation and sentencing.
Responsibilities
- Prosecute felony, misdemeanor, or juvenile cases—from charging through trial and sentencing.
- Co-chair preliminary hearings and felony trials.
- Gradually take on cases independently as your competence grows.
Requirements
- Juris Doctorate from an accredited law school and a bachelor’s degree.
- At least one year of related experience (training considered).
- Admission to practice law in Idaho (or eligibility to obtain).
- Valid driver’s license and insurable driving record.
Qualifications
- Licensed to practice law in Idaho.
- Committed to justice and eager to contribute to the community.
- Pass a criminal background check and pre-employment drug test.
- Willing to work evenings, weekends, and be on-call when necessary.
