About the role

GDIT is seeking an Operations Lead to work on a large-scale National Intelligence program. This role offers the chance to engage with cutting-edge technologies and contemporary development practices in support of a vital mission. The Operations Lead will play a critical role in addressing some of the most intricate security and operational challenges facing Intelligence and Homeland Security today.

Responsibilities

  • Oversee the operational execution across all task orders, focusing on day-to-day execution, customer delivery, and internal coordination across multiple task orders and product lines.
  • Support the program manager in overseeing all awarded task orders under the IDIQ, ensuring performance against contract requirements, and tracking deliverables and milestones.
  • Act as a secondary point of contact for government counterparts, participating in regular customer meetings, status reviews, and technical discussions.
  • Assist with monitoring cost, schedule, and performance at the task order level, supporting staffing plans, and balancing prime vs. subcontractor labor to meet program targets.
  • Monitor key performance indicators and service levels for task orders, identifying underperformance or risk areas early and coordinating corrective actions.
  • Maintain and contribute to the program risk/issue register, helping identify and track risks, issues, and dependencies, and driving mitigation actions with task leads.
  • Coordinate proposal activities for new task orders or modifications under the IDIQ, working with capture, BD, and technical leads to develop compliant, compelling responses.
  • Coordinate across cross-functional teams, leading internal status meetings, action tracking, and communication of priorities when delegated by the PM.
  • Help ensure adherence to contract terms, security requirements, and internal GDIT policies, supporting audits, reviews, and data calls.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, or equivalent experience.
  • TS/SCI with Polygraph clearance.
  • 7+ years of experience in agile software development and/or DevOps.
  • Experience in technical management, technical understanding, analyzing information, great communications skills, resource management, problem solving, strategic planning, quality management, and risk.

Qualifications

Desired skills and experience include Project Management Professional (PMP) certification or ability to obtain within 6 months of hire, experience with ITIL (i.e. ITIL 4 certification) and ServiceNow, and experience with managing FFP completion base contracts.

Pay

The likely salary range for this position is $195,240 - $264,148, although salary will be set based on experience, geographic location, and possibly contractual requirements.

Schedule

Scheduled weekly hours are 40, with no travel required and telecommuting options available.
