Deputy Organizing Director

About the Role

Florida families are facing rising costs for housing, insurance, groceries, and gas, while access to quality education has been undermined. Florida Democrats are seizing this moment to elect leaders who will fight for change. After flipping 30 seats from red to blue since 2024, we have a real opportunity to win up and down the ballot this November. As a Regional Organizing Director, you will lead and develop field organizer teams to build the volunteer infrastructure needed to secure victory.

Responsibilities

• Lead and develop a team of Regional Organizing Directors, providing ongoing mentorship, performance feedback, and professional development.
• Drive statewide organizing strategy and execution in partnership with the Organizing Director, ensuring consistent implementation of campaign priorities across regions.
• Build strong leadership pipelines by supporting Regional Directors in developing Field Organizers and volunteer leaders who can recruit, train, and retain volunteers.
• Oversee regional performance and accountability by monitoring organizing metrics, voter contact goals, and volunteer engagement, and implementing data-driven solutions.
• Support hiring, onboarding, and staff development, including recruiting, interviewing, and training Regional Directors and other organizing staff.
• Strengthen partnerships with local stakeholders, including county parties, coalition partners, and community organizations, to expand organizing capacity.
• Manage performance proactively by providing regular coaching, addressing challenges early, and making personnel recommendations to maintain a high-performing team.

• Exceptional trainer and coach with a track record of helping new organizers succeed in high-pressure environments.
• Skilled at identifying and developing leadership potential in staff and volunteers.
• Analytically sharp, using data to identify issues early and propose solutions.
• Compelling communicator who can motivate voters, volunteers, community leaders, and staff to take action.
• Ready for a demanding campaign schedule and able to thrive in a high-intensity environment.

Pay

$6,200 per month plus health insurance benefits.

Schedule

This is an election position lasting through November 2026.

Must be a U.S. citizen or green card holder, per FEC regulations.
