Deputy Operations Manager with Security Clearance

Responsibilities

  • Aid the Operations Manager in managing site service delivery operations to meet contractual and company standards.
  • Provide exceptional customer service to both internal and external customers, proactively identifying and addressing their needs.
  • Assist in the recruitment and management of a skilled and professional staff throughout the contract period.
  • Hold one-on-one meetings with Assistant Operations Managers (AOMs) and foster a positive workplace culture.
  • Collaborate with union leadership to manage within a unionized environment.
  • Create and maintain accurate performance data for monitoring and performance measurement.
  • Ensure project deliverables are completed on time and with accuracy.
  • Adapt quickly to changes in product demand.
  • Promote continuous improvement in service delivery and performance optimization.
  • Identify and address staffing needs for the contract.
  • Drive innovation, efficiency, and effectiveness across the team.
  • Resolve issues promptly without disrupting contract service delivery.
  • Lead proactive efforts to reduce the likelihood and severity of safety incidents.
  • Conduct informational briefings and management reviews as needed.
  • Occasionally travel for offsite program updates, planning, and team building (less than 10%).
  • Support employee growth and advancement.
  • Apply feedback, delegation, and coaching to develop all staff members.
  • Ensure the financial health of the program through effective budgeting and management.

Qualifications

  • US Citizen.
  • At least seven (7) years of management experience, with at least five (5) years in managing large-scale operations.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Outlook, Word, Excel, and PowerPoint.
  • Advanced skills in Microsoft Excel.
  • Excellent organizational and work ethic.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills.
  • Demonstrated ability to lead large teams.
  • Ability to obtain and maintain a Top-Secret security clearance.
  • Bachelor's degree or higher in a relevant field preferred.
  • Experience managing a unionized workforce preferred.
  • Experience managing a large U.S. Government contract or program preferred.
