About the role

We are looking for a Deputy Operations Manager to join our Coastal Virginia Offshore Service team and lead service delivery at the Coastal Virginia site. You will be based between our office in Virginia Beach and the site location(s). The Deputy Operations Manager supports the Operations Manager to drive performance and delivery within the project and acts as a delegate during times of absence. The role will accept full responsibility for the delivery of core tasks and work packages, with the ambition that Deputy Operations Managers can progress into future Operations Manager positions.

Responsibilities

  • Contribute to the implementation of strategies, programs, and/or new processes to support continuous improvement within the project.
  • Drive compliance with EHS (Environment, Health, and Safety) standards according to Siemens Gamesa and local requirements, serving as a visible safety leader.
  • Ensure compliance with QA (Quality Assurance) standards and demonstrate and lead a quality culture within the team.
  • Actively cooperate with other service projects to drive best practices, lessons learned, productivity, and efficiency.
  • Create operations and maintenance campaign plans together with responsible departments and ensure their implementation.
  • Support the Operations Manager and Commercial Operations Manager with reporting and participate in monthly project meetings, both internal and external.

Requirements

  • Degree within Engineering or Business, or demonstrable experience within complex projects or operational delivery.
  • 5+ years of experience leading teams (technicians and back-office) and dealing with commercial and operational activities, ideally within a service environment (alternatively Manufacturing or Construction).
  • Knowledge of customer service contract management, project delivery, and safety leadership.
  • Proven experience in managing and developing customer relationships.
  • Strong communication and broad stakeholder influencing skills.
  • Product technical knowledge of wind turbines is an advantage.
  • Fluent in the English language.
  • Legally authorized for employment in the United States without requiring employer-sponsored work authorization now or in the future.
