About the role

The Deputy Manager, Logistics Programme Management for the FIFA Club World Cup 2025 and FIFA World Cup 2026 is a key member of the FIFA26 Logistics team. This role supports the Manager, Logistics Contract Management in overseeing the logistics program, manages logistics resources, monitors project timelines, identifies and resolves potential delays, and supports the implementation of technological solutions.

Responsibilities

  • Assist in the implementation of the logistics program, ensuring all logistics activities are executed according to plan.
  • Ensure all logistics components are integrated across various workstreams, venues, and service providers.
  • Manage logistics resources, including personnel, equipment, and materials, to ensure efficient delivery of logistics services.
  • Maintain project timelines and milestones to ensure logistics activities are completed on time and within budget.
  • Identify and resolve potential delays or resource shortages, ensuring logistics operations run smoothly.
  • Proactively identify potential risks or challenges and develop solutions and contingency plans.
  • Support real-time adjustments to logistics operations as needed to address unexpected delays, changes in event schedules, or last-minute requests.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to resolve operational issues and minimize disruptions.
  • Collect, analyze, and report logistics data to provide insights on performance, cost-efficiency, and operational improvements.
  • Prepare regular status reports on logistics programme progress, milestones, and challenges for senior management.
  • Support Central Logistics operations for the FIFA World Cup 2026, including program management, development, implementation, and support of Logistics Coordination Centre (LCC).
  • Support contract management of the Official Logistics Service Provider (LSP) and other Logistics equipment suppliers to ensure adherence to contractual KPIs and service levels.
  • Plan, implement, and operate logistics processes across Central Logistics and LCC to achieve a seamless supply chain.
  • Analyze supply chain data to identify trends, gaps, and opportunities for optimization, providing actionable insights to the Logistics team.
  • Create and maintain user guides, step-by-step instructions, and training materials for the Logistics team.
  • Develop and contribute to presentations and visual aids for stakeholder communication on Logistics planning processes and updates.
  • Monitor and manage the Central Logistics budget.
  • Deploy into the Logistics Coordination Center (LCC) during key event periods to monitor and ensure the real-time execution of logistics operations.
  • Document best practices and procedures to ensure clear tracking and transfer of knowledge.
  • Participate in outreach programs to educate stakeholders on tournament logistics operations.
  • Support on-ground logistics operations if required, possibly traveling to other locations.

Requirements

  • Education in Logistics, Supply Chain, Data Analysis, Data Management, etc…
  • Minimum of 1-2 years of overall work experience.
  • Experience in Events or Supply Chain is a plus.
  • Strong customer service focus.
  • Excellent analytical skills and ability to make decisions independently and within a team environment.
  • Extremely high attention to detail.
  • Team player, comfortable in upward/downward communication, and willing to go the extra mile.
  • Willing to work under complex, tight, immovable timelines while maintaining a positive attitude, exhibiting patience, persistence, and experience working in a multi-cultural, multi-national environment.
  • Fluent in English (Spanish is a plus).
  • Proficient in MS Office (Outlook, Excel, Word, PowerPoint, Visio & Project), planning software, and online collaboration tools.
  • Familiar with Microsoft PowerBi: able to obtain data and create dashboards.
  • Able to learn new software tools and train others.
