Deputy General Counsel, Product

For our client, we are seeking a Deputy General Counsel, Product to join the team of a leader in the Healthcare space. This role will serve as a key legal partner to the product and commercial teams, with a focus on healthcare, digital health, and technology-related matters. You will help shape practical legal guidance for data privacy, AI governance, regulatory compliance, and customer-facing documentation while supporting business growth. The position also requires close collaboration across internal stakeholders to navigate complex product, contracting, and healthcare regulatory issues. Location: Remote - US based candidates only, no visa sponsorship available Compensation: $275,000 – $295,000 annually Responsibilities Lead negotiations on contractual terms relating to data and AI usage Advise on regulatory compliance and collaborative practice agreements Provide legal guidance on data privacy and health regulations Support commercial transactions by drafting and negotiating agreements Maintain legal documentation for member-facing terms Collaborate on responsible AI governance and related contractual requirements Monitor industry trends and legal developments relevant to healthcare Qualifications 15+ years of legal experience in healthcare or health technology Strong understanding of AI and machine learning governance Experience with FDA-regulated software and digital health products Expertise in drafting consumer-facing legal documentation Juris Doctor from an accredited law school Active state bar license in good standing Demonstrated ability to advise on complex healthcare regulations Benefits Comprehensive healthcare coverage Generous paid time off policies Professional development opportunities Flexible work schedule options Collaborative and innovative work environment Our client is an equal opportunity employer.
