Deputy General Counsel

Duties And Responsibilities

• Stays informed and supports current legislation
• Writes, edits, and finalizes reports, opinions, correspondence, and other documents
• Supports internal Employment investigations (as needed)
• Performs investigations in conjunction with outside counsel and the Chief Compliance Officer
• Finds ethical solutions to legal matters
• Manages cases independently
• Develops litigation strategies
• Reports to insurance carriers
• Provides analysis of legal and policy issues
• Conducts and oversees research into a variety of legal issues
• Adheres to all safety policies and procedures in performing job duties and responsibilities while supporting a culture of high quality and great customer service
• Affords assistance with practice acquisitions
• Drafts and prepares various agreements (employment, lease, service, vendor)
• Performs other duties that may be necessary or in the best interest of the organization
