About the role

The mission of the Denver DA’s Office is to protect the community, to seek equal justice for all, and to improve the quality and fairness of criminal justice on behalf of the people of Colorado. This is achieved through excellence in investigating and prosecuting crime, supporting victims and their families, working with the community to prevent crime, and providing fair alternatives to incarceration where appropriate.

Responsibilities

• Appear in County and District Courts handling all stages of prosecution.
• Manage a caseload, prepare for hearings and trials.
• Partner with community agencies, the Denver Police Department, and other criminal justice agencies to serve survivors and build criminal cases.
• Assist victims of crime and their families through the criminal justice system.
• Perform other duties as assigned or requested by the District Attorney.

Requirements

• Entry level position suitable for candidates with up to 5 years of experience.
• Possess a license to practice law in Colorado from the Colorado Supreme Court by the date of hire, or a reasonable expectation of becoming licensed by that date in accordance with C.R.C.P. 203.2, 203.3, 203.4 and 205.6.
• Maintain current licensure and certifications as a condition of employment.
• Demonstrate a firm commitment to advancing justice and maintaining the highest ethical standards at all times.

Pay

Salary range: $95,585.00 – $104,615.00 per annum.
