Supervisory Responsibilities

• Exercises direct supervision over staff, including full supervision of managers/administrators in assigned areas.
• Assists the Director with the supervision of managers not in the assigned area.
• Acts as the Department Director in their absence.

• Ability to establish and maintain effective working relationships with department staff, other departments, and other stakeholders and residents.
• Ability to establish, maintain, and foster positive and harmonious working relationships with those contacted in the course of work.
• Ability to work independently.

Professional Experience

• Nine (9) years of combined experience from the categories below:
• With a minimum of one year in Public Administration, Neighborhood Services, Community Corrections, Criminal Justice, Public Safety, Data/Evaluation, or a related field.
• Supervisory experience: Minimum of three (3) years leading and managing teams.
• Minimum of two (2) years in state/local government, community-based non-profit, social work, education, poverty/homelessness, criminal justice, data/evaluation, compliance, etc.
• Direct work or volunteering with vulnerable populations, homelessness, or experience in receiving public benefits can substitute for professional experience on a year for year basis.
• Preferred two (2) years of leading or assisting in the development of community-facing programs.

Academic Experience

• None required, Masters in a related field preferred.

Comparable Experience

• None required.
• Comparable experience includes justice system involvement, incarceration, poverty and homelessness, and/or behavioral health.

License or Certificate

• Must possess, or have the ability to obtain, and maintain, a valid Colorado driver's license.
• Possession of, or ability to obtain, and maintain, Colorado certification of CCIC/NCIC operation.

Background Check

• Must pass a state and federal criminal background check, including fingerprinting.
