Responsibilities

  • Provide continuity in the management of the installation’s Civil Engineering functions.
  • Serve as the Deputy Base Civil Engineer (DBCE) for the 99th Civil Engineer Squadron, an organization of 611 authorizations, sharing with the Base Civil Engineer (BCE) the full scope of responsibility for managing the activities of the organization.
  • Manage the activities of the 99th Civil Engineer Squadron, ensuring compliance with all applicable laws, regulations, and policies.
  • Participate in the development of goals, objectives, and policies related to civil engineering activities.

Requirements

  • Must be a U.S. citizen.
  • Must have a Top Secret clearance.
  • Must be willing to sign a Memorandum of Understanding including Selection, Restriction, Outplacement, Tour and Mobility Agreement as a condition of employment.
  • Must be willing to be removed from the Ready Reserve and cannot become a member of the Ready Reserve (IAW: DoDD 1200.7).
  • Must have a Bachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering from an ABET accredited institution.

Qualifications

  • Knowledge of a broad range of professional engineering concepts, principles, and practices.
  • Extensive familiarity with architectural/engineering disciplines.
  • Thorough knowledge and understanding of the trades, professions, procedures, methods, equipment, materials, limitations, and applications involved in civil engineering activities.
  • Knowledge of safety, security, personnel management, Military Equal Opportunity (MEO) and EEO regulations, practices, and procedures.
  • Knowledge of government contracting regulations, practices, and procedures.

Pay

  • SALARY RANGE: $128,473 to $167,020

Schedule

  • The assignment will not be continuing and has an established tour limitation of 36-60 months as determined by the Career Field Team and Career Field Manager.
