The White Collar Crime Unit (“WCCU”) in the Fraud & Consumer Protection Division seeks a Deputy Attorney General.

Responsibilities
- Decide what cases should be prosecuted, resolved by trial, or try cases that are not otherwise resolved.
- Represent the Unit at meetings related to business crime matters, including with federal partners.
- Meet with referral agencies to address investigative and prosecutorial issues.
- Conduct case intake and review for prosecution.
- Work as part of a team with the other members of the WCCU on the full range of WCCU cases.
Requirements
- Admission to the Delaware Bar is required.
- Record of solid academic achievement, relevant work experience, and good writing skills.
- Understanding of all facets of the investigation and litigation of complex criminal matters.
- Substantial felony trial experience, significant experience handling document-intensive cases involving financial misconduct, and demonstrated ability to evaluate criminal cases, determine resolutions, and anticipate legal issues.
- Familiarity with finance, tax, or accounting is helpful, but not a prerequisite.
- A strong commitment to working in the public interest.
Qualifications
Because the WCCU works closely with, and relies upon, our investigative partners throughout the State, the successful candidate must have or be able to develop a good working relationship with other Deputy Attorneys General, investigative partners, support staff, and court personnel.
Skills
The Deputy Attorney General should be able to work independently and meet deadlines.
