About the role

The Depot Supervisor oversees the daily work of Route Drivers, Service Technicians, and Warehouse employees. This role also serves as backup to Route Drivers, Service Technicians, and Branch Manager.

Responsibilities

  • Ensure all Route Drivers are loaded and ready to start routes on time each morning.
  • Ensure drivers rotate product regularly and manage par levels.
  • Perform at least four quality control checks per route each month.
  • Work with Branch Manager to maximize route efficiency.
  • Ensure all Service Technicians are loaded and ready to start service calls on time each morning.
  • Oversee daily pulling of products and guarantee warehouse pulls are made so routes are ready for the next workday.
  • Collaborate with Customer Service team in overseeing daily field operations and with Sales Department to coordinate installs and equipment needed.
  • Oversee proper completion of all end of day paperwork by Route Drivers and Service Technicians.
  • Set clear daily equipment repair objectives for refurbishing.
  • Keep overtime work by operations employees to a minimum.
  • Instruct drivers, technicians, and warehouse employees in safe operation of equipment and vehicles, and use of proper loading and lifting techniques, so as to avoid injuries.
  • Follow all accident reporting requirements.
  • Maintain security of company vehicles and equipment.
  • Provide route relief and/or service work during vacations, extended leaves, or other absences.
  • Keep Branch Manager informed of parts and equipment needs.
  • Address any problems between employees and promptly escalate significant employee or customer issues to management.
  • Comply with and enforce all First Choice policies and procedures, including but not limited to those contained in the Company’s Employee Handbook.
  • Perform additional duties as assigned by management.

Qualifications

  • Frequent travel will be required during initial training period.
  • Route experience preferred.
  • Techician/Equipment repair experience preferred.
  • High school diploma or equivalent.
  • Valid Drivers License for at least 2 years.
  • Past driving experience preferred.
  • Repeatedly lift and carry coffee and bottled water products weighing up to 50 pounds.
  • Ability to climb in and out of delivery vehicle multiple times per day.
  • Ability to use a hand cart to move products and equipment.
