Deposit Operations Specialist

Responsibilities
- Perform account and customer review, including account changes, file maintenance, customer profile review, and tax certification review.
- Review incoming faxes and route them to appropriate staff to ensure timely completion.
- Review and balance assigned operational reports, including account changes, customer changes, supervisor override, dormant, teller transaction, and other control reports.
- Support legal, regulatory, and verification processes, including AVS and SSA asset verification, Verification of Deposit, Confirmation.com, and dormant account activity.
- Print daily automated documentation such as club checks, interest checks, printed letters, and related annual or periodic tasks.
- Complete general research, mailing support, year-end tasks, and recurring operational or compliance reporting.
- Maintain accurate records, logs, supporting documentation, and audit trails in accordance with procedures, internal controls, regulatory expectations, and retention requirements.
- Identify and escalate exceptions, discrepancies, balancing differences, documentation gaps, customer-impacting issues, and system or vendor-related concerns.
- Provide backup support, participate in cross-training, and perform other Deposit Operations duties as assigned.
Requirements
- High school diploma or equivalent required.
- 1-3 years banking experience required.
Skills
- Knowledge of deposit accounts, account maintenance, documentation review, exception processing, legal processing, reconciliations, tax reporting, or related banking functions preferred.
- Strong attention to detail, organization, accuracy, follow-through, research, problem-solving, communication, and customer service skills required.
- Ability to follow procedures, maintain internal controls, meet deadlines, escalate issues appropriately, and protect confidential customer and bank information is essential.
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office, core banking systems, imaging systems, vendor platforms, and other Deposit Operations applications required.
- Ability to learn new systems and support cross-training needs is a must.

Pay
The estimated base hourly rate for this position is $20.00/hr to $24.00/hr. Final offer will be determined based on a candidate's unique combination of skills, education, experience, and certifications, as well as internal pay equity considerations.
