Deposit and Insurance Director (Temporary)
About the role
As the Deposit and Insurance Director, you will lead growth of Patelco’s deposit portfolio and overall membership growth. Patelco’s strategic growth plan calls for a significant increase in deposits and membership as key contributions to profitability over the next three years. This role will have complete, end-to-end accountability of the business, partnering across functions to develop and execute an accelerated growth agenda while ensuring appropriate risk management parameters and guardrails. The role reports to the SVP of Lending.
Responsibilities
- Develop and deliver products that support member needs for transaction (checking) and savings that support financial wellbeing and a differentiated value proposition.
- Lead insurance strategic planning and implementation efforts.
- Review the end-to-end member journey for gaps and opportunities to meet the ongoing needs of current and future members.
- Stay current with leading-edge practices around behavioral economics that support financial health and wellbeing specific to saving.
- Manage and drive execution of membership growth, product development, and delivery, working closely with marketing, digital, channel delivery, legal, compliance, and operational partners.
- Develop detailed strategies and dimension pro forma business impacts of key initiatives required to meet plan targets and grow deposits and membership.
- Prioritize and deliver, in partnership with cross-functional leaders, the key capabilities and initiatives needed to achieve the growth plan across the full value chain, including product design, pricing, acquisition, usage and retention marketing, distribution across physical and remote/digital channels, and member experience.
- Establish and manage critical KPIs (e.g., membership and portfolio growth, member experience).
- Ensure a highly knowledgeable and effective team steeped in the Patelco culture.

Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in Business, Management, or equivalent is preferred.
- Minimum 10 years of experience in the banking industry, preferably with diverse roles across product management and marketing.
- Thorough understanding of deposit product business, including strong knowledge of the external market, customer attitudes and behaviors, distribution strategies, profit & loss drivers, production/product delivery models, and legal/compliance/regulatory requirements.
- Proven analytical and problem-solving skills, using facts and data to formulate solutions and understand impacts.
This position is based out of the Dublin Headquarters office.

Compensation is determined by factors such as scope and responsibilities of the position, candidate’s work experience, education/training, key skills, internal peer equity, and market/business considerations. All regular positions include participation in the Short-Term Incentive (STI) program.
