DEPARTMENTAL CHIEF INFORMATION OFFICER II (UC)
About the Role
The Departmental Chief Information Officer II (DCIO II) is a key member of the Department of Human Resources' executive leadership team, providing strategic and operational leadership for the Department’s information technology program. The DCIO II will oversee enterprise applications, cybersecurity, infrastructure, IT governance, and digital transformation initiatives that support Countywide human resources operations. This is a unique opportunity for a collaborative technology leader to modernize critical HR systems, strengthen service delivery, and advance secure, reliable, and customer-focused digital solutions for Los Angeles County.
This is an unclassified position and is open to current County of Los Angeles employees only at this time.
Responsibilities
- Provide strategic and operational leadership for the Department’s information technology program.

Eligibility
Final appointment is contingent upon verification of U.S. citizenship or the right to work in the United States.
Pursuant to the County Charter and County policy, in all open competitive examinations, the County of Los Angeles will add a credit of 10 percent of the total credits specified for such examination to the final passing score of an honorably discharged veteran, as well as the spouse of a deceased or disabled veteran, who served in the Armed Forces of the United States under specific conditions.
