Department Specialist

Main Responsibilities

• Maintains files and runs reports
• Data entry and answering routine questions
• Reviews and enters potential rush orders into COSMOS
• Manages and reviews store shipping schedules
• Maintains new and discontinued item processes by division
• Placing purchase orders and uploading external forecasts into Blue Yonder
• Maintains contact with retail store personnel/distribution centers/merchandising
• Resolving special problems and obtaining necessary information
• Maintaining quality standards
• Cross-functional coordination between Replenishment Department, Distribution Centers, and Merchandising teams
• Entering store distribution and allocations of product
• Creating WSO's to remove product out of inventory for a distribution center
• Assisting with special requests and researching information as needed

Qualifications

• High school diploma
• Bachelor’s degree in related fields preferred
• Knowledge of merchandising terminology and products
• Previous retail industry experience preferred
• Strong work skills including email, phone calls, office forms, and proficient use of office equipment (calculators, computers, and telephone)
• Experience with Microsoft Office Suite, especially Excel using advanced features, formula, and pivot tables
• Good interpersonal skills to maintain effective business relationships
• Attention to detail, organization, ability to meet urgent deadlines, and confidentiality handling
