Department of War (DoW) Networking Subject Matter Expert (SME)

Job Description

You will provide expert guidance supporting the deployment of a technical solution within a DoW environment. Your role includes advising on system architecture, federal compliance, and deployment practices to ensure a secure, compliant, and technically sound rollout.

Required Qualifications

• 5+ years of experience within the DoW/federal government or serving DoW/government customers.
• Experience with the development and deployment of an ATO'd (Authority to Operate) system.
• Experience maintaining federal compliance post-deployment.
• Strong background in networking architecture, including experience implementing low-latency solutions.
• Hands-on experience with GitOps workflows and tooling.
• Proven experience building and managing CI/CD pipelines.

Preferred Qualifications

• Familiarity with high-side operations and networking (classified network environments).
• Active security clearance.
• Experience with Python and/or Unity.
• Exposure to ROS2 (Robot Operating System 2) and/or DIS (Distributed Interactive Simulation) protocols.
