The City of Hartford, Wisconsin seeks an energetic Public Works Director to replace our current director who is transferring to another position within the City. This position pays $88,000 - $98,000 DOQ per year with a benefits package second to none in municipal government.

About the Role

• Oversight of a crew of seven handling all aspects of road maintenance including snow plowing, refuse and recycling (contracted service), airport management, and storm sewer maintenance.

Responsibilities

• Possess a minimum of 5 years public works, road construction, personnel management and/or airport management.
• Necessary interpersonal skills for a collaborative team environment.
• Ability to jump in any equipment to help when needed.
• Public speaking skills to Council and residents.
• Proficiency in Office programs like Word, Excel, and Outlook.
