About the role

The Department of Child, Adolescent, and Family Studies at California State University, San Bernardino (CSUSB) seeks individuals to teach courses in child development and/or early childhood education. CSUSB is a diverse institution with a strong commitment to diversity, equity, and inclusion.

Responsibilities

  • Teach courses in child development and/or early childhood education.
  • Offer a variety of courses focusing on various age children, developmental domains, contexts of development, and critical issues.
  • Provide courses in statistics and research methodology.
  • Meet traditional requirements of excellence in teaching.
  • Demonstrate a commitment to excellence in teaching and working effectively with faculty, staff, and students across a wide range of disciplines.

Requirements

Minimum qualifications include a master’s degree or Ph.D. in Child Development or a related field at the time of employment, and evidence of teaching promise.

Special Conditions

  • Must be able to teach at both the San Bernardino and Palm Desert campuses.
  • Must comply with the requirements set forth in CSU Executive Order 1083 as a mandated reporter.
  • Pass a background check, including a criminal records check.

Qualifications

  • Hold a master’s degree or Ph.D. in Child Development or related field.
  • Show evidence of teaching promise.

Benefits

Salary is commensurate with experience. The range for this position is Lecturer A (Range 2) - $5,507 – $6,677, Lecturer B (Range 3) - $6,221 – $13,224, Lecturer C (Range 4) - $6,825 – $14,523, and Lecturer D (Range 5) - $8,593 – $15,211.
