Responsibilities

• Ensure the organization and maintenance of the department’s stock of video, photo, and audio equipment, as well as the larger pieces of equipment used in producing art, including 3D printers, laser cutters, CNC routers, large-format inkjet printers, risograph printers, and matting and framing equipment
• Train students and others in the safe use of these tools
• Supervise student use of sensitive equipment (printers, cutters, etc.)
• Work with other department employees to manage the checkout system for small pieces of equipment

Requirements

• Experience with using many or all of the following: 3D printers, laser cutters, CNC routers, large-format inkjet printers, Risograph printers, matting and framing equipment
• Either experience maintaining the above equipment or the ability to learn quickly from available resources to properly maintain the equipment
• Good organizational skills
• A proactive approach to constantly improving processes and systems
• Good communication

• Experience working with art or artists

Pay

Typical starting pay: $20.00 to $24.00/hour, depending on experience
