Department of Administration, Rehabilitation and Postsecondary Education Lecturer Pool AY 2026-2027
The Department of Administration, Rehabilitation, and Postsecondary Education at San Diego State University is accepting applications for a part-time lecturer pool. We welcome applications from prospective temporary faculty with expertise or experience in Postsecondary Education, Student Affairs, Higher Education, Leadership Studies, and Rehabilitation Counseling.
Responsibilities
- Teach courses in the areas of Postsecondary Education, Student Affairs, Higher Education, Leadership Studies, and Rehabilitation Counseling.
- Engage in applied teaching experience in paid and/or volunteer positions.
- Provide relevant practice experience related to the advertised teaching positions.
Requirements
- Terminal degree or degree relevant to teaching in the advertised teaching position.
- At least 1 year of applied teaching experience in paid and/or volunteer positions.
- Applicable practice experience related to the advertised teaching positions.
Qualifications
- Initial appointments are typically one semester or one academic year, contingent on satisfactory evaluations and continuing availability of work.
- Applications will remain in the applicant pool during the academic year you apply.
Pay
- Classification salary ranges for the respective ranks are:
- Lecturer A: $5,507 - $6,677
- Lecturer B: $6,221 - $13,224
- Lecturer C: $6,825 - $14,523
- Lecturer D: $8,593 - $15,211
Schedule
- Initial appointments are typically one semester or one academic year, contingent on satisfactory evaluations and continuing availability of work.
- The Fall term begins mid-August and ends late-December; the Spring term begins mid-January and ends mid-May.
- Opportunities for teaching during the Summer Sessions may also be available.

- Temporary appointments may be either full- or part-time.
