The E. J. Ourso College of Business at Louisiana State University (LSU) invites applications for three tenure-track faculty positions in the Department of Accounting, with an anticipated start date of August 2027. Open Positions Include Two Assistant Professor positions and One Assistant, Associate, or Full Professor position.

About the role

  • Expertise in financial accounting, auditing, taxation, or managerial accounting.
  • Ph.D. in Accounting or a closely related field from an AACSB-accredited institution.
  • Demonstrate potential for excellence in scholarly research and a strong commitment to high-quality teaching at the undergraduate and graduate levels.

  • Professional certification (CPA) and relevant professional experience are preferred.

Responsibilities

  • Conduct scholarly research in accounting.
  • Teach undergraduate and graduate courses in accounting.

  • Supervise graduate students.

Requirements

  • Ph.D. in Accounting or a closely related field from an AACSB-accredited institution.
  • Strong commitment to teaching and scholarship.
  • Experience in teaching accounting at the undergraduate and/or graduate level.
  • Ability to work effectively in a team environment.
