About the role
The College of Business at Loyola University New Orleans invites applications for a full-time, tenure-track Assistant or Associate Professor in Accounting beginning Fall 2027.
Responsibilities
- Teach undergraduate and graduate accounting courses, including Financial Accounting at all levels, Managerial/Cost Accounting, Taxation (Individual and/or Business), Auditing & Assurance, and Accounting Analytics & Technologies, including AI.
- Strengthen the department's research profile by publishing in ranked academic journals.
- Foster an engaging learning environment for diverse students, including first-generation college students.
- Integrate new technologies such as artificial intelligence and machine learning in accounting.
- Contribute to the Jesuit educational model and foster inclusion and equity in a culturally diverse environment.
Requirements
- Ph.D. in Accounting or a closely related field (ABD candidates will be considered if the degree is completed by the start date).
- CPA or other professional certification preferred.
- Strong teaching skills with a commitment to fostering an engaging learning environment for diverse students.
- Experience or willingness to integrate new technologies such as artificial intelligence and machine learning in accounting.
- Familiarity with the Jesuit educational model.
