About the role

As a Department Manager, you’ll lead your team to create an inclusive culture that supports collaboration and entrepreneurship. You’ll ensure an excellent operational and visual experience for your store, customers, and colleagues.

Responsibilities

  • Customer Sales & Profit
    • Ensure the total OMNI customer experience in your store, adhering to global guidelines.
    • Represent yourself and the H&M brand positively during customer interactions.
    • Awareness of and responsibility for your department's strengths and commercial opportunities.
    • Create and analyze sales and budget goals, and implement plans to optimize results and profits.
    • Manage customer service across all areas of the store and ensure your team is equipped to promote and sell products.
    • Follow up on customer loyalty app usage and in-store sustainability initiatives.
    • Manage your department efficiently, ensuring cost-effectiveness.
    • Handle administrative tasks such as fitting room and checkout transactions, returns, and exchanges.
    • Administer necessary procedures and routines, and comply with legal requirements.
  • Fashion & Trend Awareness
    • Stay updated with the fashion scene, trends, and competitors.
    • Provide product and fashion knowledge to customers.
  • Team & Development
    • Recruitment, onboarding, and performance management.
    • Upskilling and developing your team.
    • Collaboration with the Visual Merchandiser team.
    • Feedback and communication with colleagues.
    • Planning and scheduling.
    • Communication with store colleagues.
    • Ensuring adherence to procedures, routines, and legal requirements.
  • Retail Operations & Visual & Commercial Execution
    • Ensure a clean and tidy sales floor and back of house areas.
    • Secure high-quality, visually appealing product presentation and garment care.
    • Manage stock levels and provide input on allocation to the area team.
    • Secure a strong balance and maintain price signs according to global and local strategies.
    • Secure the full garment cycle, including fitting room routines, and utilize all tools and technology provided.
    • Update and maintain BOH areas for all colleagues.
    • Secure a strong balance and the maintenance of price signs in-store and throughout the sales floor/store.

Pay

Compensation: expected base salary range is $23.56 - $27.09 hourly.

Schedule

Non-Exempt, Hourly.
