Department Manager - Outdoor Power Equipment - Windom, MN

About the Role

We are seeking a Department Manager for our Outdoor Power department. In this role, you will oversee merchandising and sales, ensuring the highest level of customer service while reporting to the Store Manager. The position involves working days, nights, and every other weekend.

Responsibilities

• Direct and coordinate the merchandising of assigned products.
• Set priorities for distribution of new merchandise within the assigned department.
• Ensure adequate inventory in all areas of the assigned department.
• Assist customers with purchases.
• Work closely with Retail Buyer(s) to ensure awareness of assigned department product needs and other product information.
• Assist with the training and direction of new department team members.
• Ensure safety is practiced when handling merchandise by employees and customers.

This role involves sales, parts, ordering, and service technician duties for brands such as Stihl, Cub Cadet, Troy-Bilt, Agri-Fab, Milwaukee, DeWalt, and related power equipment.

Requirements

• High School Diploma or GED required.
• 2 years of retail experience required.
• 2 years of management experience preferred.
• Customer service training preferred.
• College Degree in Business, Marketing, or a related field preferred.

Pay

Hourly pay range: $18.00 - $25.00 per hour, depending on experience.
