Department Manager - Clothing - Clay, NY

About the role

The Department Manager of our Clothing department oversees merchandising and sales within their assigned department. This role requires working days, nights, and every other weekend.

Responsibilities

• Direct and coordinate the merchandising of assigned products.
• Set priorities for distribution of new merchandise within the assigned department.
• Avoid stock shortages and ensure adequate inventory in all areas of assigned department.
• Assist customers with purchases.
• Prevent theft tags.
• Work closely with Retail Buyers to ensure awareness of assigned department product needs and other product information.
• Train and direct new department team members.
• Clean and organize the department.
• Practice safety when handling merchandise by employees and customers.

Requirements

• High School Diploma preferred.
• Customer Service training and/or experience preferred.

Qualifications

• Extensive knowledge and understanding of clothing, accessories, etc.
• Ability to work an irregular work schedule.
• Excellent customer service skills required.
• Frequent lifting up to 50 pounds.
• Long periods of standing.
• Frequent bending and twisting.

Hourly Pay Range: $20.00 - $22.00 depending on experience.

Schedule
