Department Manager

This job posting is for a position in a restaurant owned and operated by an independent franchisee, not McDonald’s USA. The franchisee is a separate company and employer responsible for all employment matters at the restaurant.

About the Role

Managers lead shifts every week, ensuring customers receive a fast, accurate, and friendly experience. Some managers also lead specific departments, setting goals, delegating tasks, and reporting results. Responsibilities vary by department:

• Guest Service Department Manager: Ensures Crew and Managers deliver a great customer experience, oversees sales promotions, trains service staff, and organizes Front Counter, McCafé, and Drive-Thru areas for optimal service.
• Kitchen Department Manager: Ensures the restaurant delivers high-quality, fast, and safe food, controls food costs, and trains kitchen staff on production procedures, including new menu items.
• People Department Manager: Hires and trains qualified crew, schedules staff to meet sales and profit goals, and ensures crew are recognized and motivated throughout their employment.

Requirements

• Previous managerial experience is preferred, ideally in a restaurant, retail, or hospitality environment.
• Positive team players with flexible schedules who thrive in a fast-paced environment.
• Passion for working in the dynamic McDonald’s setting.
• Must be 18 years or older.

Pay

Pay range is $15–$19 per hour, depending on experience.
