About the role
The role involves leading shifts and departments in a McDonald's restaurant owned and operated by an independent franchisee, not McDonald’s USA. As a Department Manager, you will ensure that customers receive a fast, accurate, and friendly experience, manage staff training, and maintain food quality and safety.
Responsibilities
- Lead shifts to ensure a fast, accurate, and friendly customer experience.
- Manage assigned Systems such as Training, Food Safety, and Inventory Management.
- Set goals, delegate tasks, follow up, and report results to your team and other managers.
- Ensure the Front Counter McCafé and Drive-Thru areas are organized for optimal service.
- Make sure the restaurant delivers high-quality food and maintains food safety standards.
- Control food costs and train kitchen staff in production procedures.
- Hire, train, and schedule staff to meet sales and profit goals.
- Support new employees and motivate them throughout their tenure.
Requirements
- Previous managerial experience, preferably in a restaurant, retail, or hospitality environment.
- A positive attitude and ability to work in a fast-paced environment.
- Flexibility with work schedules.
- Must be 18 years or older.
