About the role

This position oversees three academic programs, managing all aspects including enrollment, program administration, instructional quality, and human resource management.

Responsibilities

  • Deliver assigned classes using pedagogy and technology that support student learning.
  • Maintain student records and documentation, and manage classroom environments.
  • Provide academic-related coaching and monitoring to advisees, and document student performance.
  • Engage students in support of the curriculum and co-curriculum, and promote student recruitment and retention.
  • Participate in professional development activities and stay current in pedagogy and technology.
  • Participate in community service and develop industry contacts.
  • Support institutional support and career services, and adhere to academic policies.
  • Analyze program data and lead action steps to improve retention and completion rates.
  • Coordinate program advisory committees, oversee equipment purchases, and maintain program accreditation.
  • Manage recruitment, evaluation, and development of faculty, and respond to faculty and staff issues.

Requirements

  • Strong working knowledge of current technologies appropriate to the area of instruction.
  • A master’s or higher degree in early childhood education or closely related field, or 18 graduate credits in early childhood education and development.
  • Professional certification in the field or at least two years of directly related work experience in early childhood education.
  • A master’s or higher degree in education or a related field, and current or expired professional state teaching license/certification with at least three years of K-12 teaching experience.

Qualifications

  • Must meet the entirety of the Early Childhood Education Program Standard or Education Program Standard.

  • Effective communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to manage multiple tasks and prioritize responsibilities.
  • Knowledge of current educational technologies and pedagogical approaches.
  • Experience with student retention and success strategies.
  • Proficiency in using Learning Management Systems.

Pay

$57,930 - $62,795 (based on education and experience)
