About the role

The new chair will report to the dean of the medical school and leadership at the Ann & Robert H. Lurie Children’s Hospital of Chicago. In their role, the new Chair is responsible for oversight of the academic, research, clinical, and administrative affairs of the Department at the Ann & Robert H. Lurie Children’s Hospital of Chicago, Pediatric Faculty Foundation, and school of medicine.

Responsibilities

  • Oversee academic affairs of the Department
  • Oversee research affairs of the Department
  • Oversee clinical affairs of the Department
  • Oversee administrative affairs of the Department

Qualifications

  • MD or MD/PhD with board certification
  • Eligible for a faculty appointment as a full-time Professor
  • Proven scholarly accomplishments and national recognition in a clinical or science discipline
