About the role

This position is responsible for administrative functions and analysis of data for safe and effective operation. It supports the Plant Staff and Operations Manager.

Responsibilities

  • Maintains accurate and timely payroll records on a daily basis, and reports in close coordination with department managers; enters schedules, timesheets and balances payroll for submittal to Payroll Shared Services.
  • Works closely with the Operations Manager to manage meetings, reports, emails, and other administrative needs.
  • Coordinates file storage for staff members and sends files to off-site location for storage.
  • Maintains operating statistics – production rates, yields, costs/ton, usage, etc. for analysis of trends.
  • Assists with Environmental, Accounting, and Human Resources duties as assigned.
  • Orders and maintains office supplies.
  • Responsible for entering service requests, printer maintenance and supply requests for equipment throughout the plant.
  • Serves as point person for plant engagement and social activities.
  • Other duties as assigned.

Requirements

  • High school diploma or GED.
  • Experience working in an administrative capacity in a manufacturing/production environment.
  • Solid computer skills, proficiency in Microsoft Office products (i.e. Word, Excel, PowerPoint).
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Strong problem solving and organizational skills.
  • Must be able to work in an office environment and periodically in an industrial setting.
  • Must be able to wear required personal protection equipment (PPE) such as hard hats, safety glasses, goggles, hearing protection, and other PPE as required.
  • Duties require extensive manual dexterity in usage of computer terminal and keyboard, while sitting for long periods of time.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Secondary education from an accredited business school.
