Departmenet Lead- 12 hr days

Essential Functions

• Cookbook production activities within the designated zone.
• Ensure adherence to production schedules and product specifications.
• Collaborate with other department leads to optimize production flow.
• Lead a team of production workers and operators.
• Provide guidance, training, and support to enhance team skills and productivity.
• Encourage a positive and cooperative working atmosphere.
• Implement and maintain quality control measures.
• Conduct regular inspections and audits to identify and address quality issues.
• Promote and enforce a strong safety culture.
• Identify and address potential safety hazards.
• Oversee machinery and equipment maintenance.
• Coordinate with maintenance department for repairs.
• Identify and implement process improvements.
• Prepare and present regular reports on production performance.
• Participate in training programs.
• Adhere to company values, policies, and procedures.
• Follow safety rules, laws, regulations, and standards.
• Attend work location regularly and on time.

Minimum Experience, Education, And Certifications

• Previous experience in a high-speed production environment or satisfactory combination of education and experience.
• Supervisory or leadership experience preferred.
• Experience with lean manufacturing practices desirable.

Physical Demands

• Remain in a stationary position.
• Regularly move about and transport products/materials weighing up to 50 pounds.
• Manipulate products on pallets, using force up to 30 pounds.
• Position oneself to retrieve products/materials from ground level.
• Work atop elevated workspaces up to 20 feet above ground level.
• Reach overhead to access buckets, labels, and boxes.
• Ascend/descend stairs/ladders.
• Operate, position, and use a wide variety of hand tools and equipment.

Environmental Conditions

• Work in a manufacturing plant environment.
• Exposure to high/precarious places, changes in temperature and humidity, dust, odors, and fumes.
• Typical noise level is loud.
