Dentist - Correctional Facilities

Healthcare Staffing Professionals, Inc. has immediate needs for Dentists to fill part-time and full-time positions at correctional facilities and state hospitals throughout Michigan. We offer weekly pay, competitive rates, and benefits.

About the Role

This position offers both full-time and part-time opportunities.

Responsibilities

• Complete and oversee a variety of dental care and treatment procedures in a clinical setting to maintain appropriate dental health standards for patients in state facilities.
• Provide comprehensive examinations of patients to diagnose and treat diseases, injuries, and malformations of teeth.
• Restore teeth, construct dentures, and dental appliances.
• Perform tooth extractions, including roots and implants.
• Suture facial lacerations within and around the oral cavity.
• Provide medications for infection control, pain control, and control of viral, bacterial, and fungal infections.
• Instruct patients on oral hygiene and methods of preventing the spread of oral diseases.
• Maintain charts and histories of clinical treatments.

Requirements

• Michigan dental license.
• Minimum of 2 years of experience.
• 2 professional references.

Pay

$113 per hour. Overtime is paid for any hours worked beyond 40 per week. Holiday pay is 1.5 times the regular hourly rate for major holidays.
