DENTIST - CORRECTIONAL FACILITIES - OAHU

About the role

Serves as a practicing dentist, performing the full range of professional dental services in the treatment of dental diseases or dental health problems requiring corrective, restorative or preventive measures, and performs other related duties as assigned.

Responsibilities

• Performs comprehensive dental examinations and diagnoses oral health conditions.
• Administers anesthesia and performs various dental procedures such as extractions, fillings, and root canals.
• Prescribes medications and treatments for patients as needed.
• Collaborates with other healthcare professionals to develop and implement treatment plans.
• Maintains patient records and ensures confidentiality.

Requirements

• Valid license to practice dentistry in the State of Hawaii.
• Experience in providing dental care in correctional facilities.
• Knowledge of prison rape elimination act (PREA) requirements.

Qualifications

• Graduation from an accredited dental school.
• At least 2 years of recent, relevant clinical experience.
• Current CPR certification.

Pay

$8,626 to $23,334 per month (LHB1, Min to Max)

Schedule

Full-time position with flexible working hours to accommodate shift work in a correctional facility setting.
