Dentist

Duties

• Conducts oral and radiographic examinations of the oral cavity and provide interpretation of imaging
• Reviews medical history and applies knowledge to patient management
• Diagnoses pathological or irregular oral conditions
• Performs treatment planning, including multi-step, complex plans with input from specialists as needed
• Administers local anesthesia and nitrous oxide
• Performs routine and complex restoration of teeth
• Performs routine extractions and other surgical procedures within the scope of a general dentist
• Performs prosthetic dentistry to include immediate dentures, full and partial dentures, crowns, and fixed bridge work
• Performs routine dental implant restorations
• Performs routine endodontic procedures on single and multi-canal teeth
• Performs routine periodontal procedures

Qualifications

• Proficient in all aspects of general dentistry including the ability to perform selected specialty services
• Expertise and competency to perform the following: Conducts oral and radiographic examinations of the oral cavity and provide interpretation of imaging
• Reviews medical history and applies knowledge to patient management
• Diagnoses pathological or irregular oral conditions
• Performs treatment planning, including multi-step, complex plans with input from specialists as needed
• Administers local anesthesia and nitrous oxide
• Performs routine and complex restoration of teeth
• Performs routine extractions and other surgical procedures within the scope of a general dentist

Skills
