About the role
The Health Center Association of Nebraska (HCAN) is seeking a Dentist to join their Federally Qualified Health Center (FQHC) in Columbus, Nebraska. This position offers a mission-driven environment where you can provide high-quality, patient-centered dental care to those who need it most.
Responsibilities
- Provide complete dental care to patients including preventive care, education, and required dental treatment.
- Record patient-dentist transactions in the patient’s dental record.
- Educate patients on appropriate prophylactic dental care, hygiene, and flossing techniques.
- Participate in the decision-making processes regarding the delivery of dental health services.
- Collaborate with an interdisciplinary team to improve health outcomes.
- Participate in the dental department’s processes for quality measures and other data reporting.
Requirements
- Graduate of an accredited school of dentistry with an unrestricted license to practice dentistry in the state of Nebraska.
- Current DEA license required.
- Knowledge of public health principles and practices.
- Demonstrated professional commitment to providing services to medically underserved individuals in a public health setting.
- Ability to foster strong patient-provider relationships.
Qualifications
- Current certificate in BLS.
- Bilingual in English / Spanish preferred but not required; if not bilingual, must have the ability to work with an interpreter if needed.

Schedule
Monday-Friday schedule with limited requirements outside normal business hours.
