Dentist (1099, Locum Tenens)

Chenega Government Mission Solutions, LLC, a Chenega Professional Services company, is seeking a Dentist (Locum Tenens) to provide dental services to beneficiaries of the Indian Health Service’s Fort Belknap Service Unit in Harlem, Montana. The role emphasizes cultural sensitivity, human dignity, and high‑quality care.

Responsibilities

• Perform exams, crowns, fillings, bridges, dentures, implants, root canals, simple extractions, surgical extractions, endodontic molar treatment, endodontic sealants, partials, X‑rays, and Invisalign.
• Apply the principles of dental care in initial and follow‑up evaluation, treatment, and management.
• Be present on time for scheduled clinics, documenting physical presence at the start time.
• Consult with and instruct referring physicians on appropriate indications for procedures.
• Participate in continuous quality‑improvement activities, committee meetings, and staff meetings as required by IHS leadership.
• Complete QM/PI documentation for all procedures, complications, and outcomes.
• Document care and select appropriate Evaluation and Management (E&M) procedure codes in the EHR.
• Follow all established patient safety and infection‑control standards.
• Other duties as assigned.
• Maintain a minimum patient volume of eight (8) patients per day.

Qualifications

• Permanent, current, full, and unrestricted license to practice dentistry in a U.S. state, the District of Columbia, the Commonwealth of Puerto Rico, or a U.S. territory.
• Graduate of an accredited dental school approved by the Commission on Dental Accreditation (CODA) of the American Dental Association (ADA) with a DDS or DMD degree.
• Active Basic Life Support (BLS) or Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS) certification.
• Minimum of five (5) years of post‑graduate dental experience.

Pay

Estimated compensation is $160.00 per hour on a 1099 contract basis.

Schedule

Full‑time position, Monday – Friday.
