Dental Nurse

What will you be doing?

• Supporting dental students with flexible working across different clinics.
• Promoting safe working practices and guiding dental nurses, undergraduate dental students, and postgraduate students.
• Preparing and rotating within the clinical area and clinical skills suite.
• Setting up clinical bays on individual departments and providing chairside assistance to staff and students as needed.
• Managing materials and supplies, including ordering and stocktaking, and maintaining and repairing equipment when necessary.
• Providing guidance and training in dental nursing and dental imaging techniques, or working towards training in dental imaging within the departmental radiology spaces.
• Honing in on Quality Assurance, Health & Safety, and Infection Prevention Control during clinic and laboratory inductions for trainee dental nurses, dental undergraduates, and throughout their clinical placements.

Requirements

You are an enthusiastic individual capable of self-motivation and motivating others to achieve great results. You must be organized to support and deliver a full range of dental nursing duties across clinical departments, dental radiology, and dental laboratories. A dental nurse qualification and registration with the General Dental Council are required.

• Salary range: £28,778 - £32,080 per annum, equivalent to £15.81 - £17.63 per hour based on 35 hours per week.

About the role

Bristol Dental School is a city centre state-of-the-art site located at 1 Trinity Quay, Avon Street, Bristol. The school has established its new operating model and ways of working since opening in Summer 2023. An excellent opportunity has arisen for a dental nurse to cover maternity leave in a positive and friendly environment.
