What You’ll Do
- Maintain patient medical records
- Conduct complete patient X-ray procedures
- Prepare tools and equipment for the Provider
- Assist the Provider during exams
- Perform preventative periodontal care
- Place and carve amalgam and composite restorations
- Administer local anesthesia and nitrous oxide analgesia
- Provide oral hygiene education and counseling
- Formulate dental hygiene treatment plans
- Participate in the clinic’s infection control program
- Provide input to the Dental Leadership team
- May participate in dental education programs
Qualifications
- Graduation from an accredited Dental Hygiene program
- Active Dental Hygiene license for the state of practice (WA)
- CPR Certification (or ability to obtain within 90 days of hire)
- Bilingual English/Spanish skills at a level 10 (preferred)
- Knowledge of standard dental practices and hygiene concepts
- Skills in dental anesthetics and restorations
- Ability to assess, adapt, and interact professionally with patients and colleagues
- Effective time management and resource utilization
- Basic computer proficiency (Electronic Dental Records, Outlook, Word, Excel)
